Kate-Marie Engberg
Director
Kate-Marie Engberg, Writer & Director, EP
After moving to New York to attend NYU's Tisch School of the Arts to study Film & Television production, Kate-Marie pursued her passion for comedy as well as human rights in the realm of film. Comedy led her to a few collaborations with members of an Upright Citizens Brigade group, Summer and Eve, out of which she directed comedic narrative shorts, one written by writer and actor Max Baker. Her most recent short she shot in Cambodia was screened at the Phnom Penh International Film Festival.

At the core, Kate-Marie strives to tell human stories that cross borders. Whether it's comedy or drama, she seeks a raw truth, honesty, and relatability in her characters. With the belief that we connect through our vulnerabilities, Kate-Marie finds strength in that notion through her writing and directing.
Cory Fraiman-Lott, Director of Photography
Cory Fraiman-Lott spent his youth cleaning his room and watching Michael Jackson music videos on VHS. Shortly after his parents' divorce, Cory decided to swear off love altogether and focus solely on cinematography.

With a BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts, as well as training from Schumacher Camera and Essanay Lighting Studio, two notable rental houses in the Chicagoland area, Cory has applied his eye for aesthetics to numerous award-winning works featured in such festivals as Sundance, Tribeca, and New York Television. Most recently, his feature film "How To Tell You're A Douchebag" was released and broadcast via BET Networks.

Cory prides himself on his efficiency, his ability to problem-solve, and his full-body snowmobile suit (which he didn't need in Cambodia, sadly).
Daniya Amin, Line Producer
Daniya started working with the BBC World Service in Cambodia 10 years ago as an Assistant Director and has since worked on several productions. Her experience as an AD led her to Khmer Mekong Films, and she has also produced for Ocelus Productions. Some of her credits include Cambodia's Next Top Model, Silent Please Cambodia, and various commercial shoots. She currently freelances as a producer.
David Brundige, Co-Producer
David Brundige wrote and directed IFC's The Prospects, an award-winning feature film airing internationally on the Sundance Channel. He shot his 2015 short film Tour Guides in Cambodia, which recently screened at the Cambodia International Film Festival. He has participated in shows at SSSLA and Kayne Griffin Corcoran galleries, and his short comedies have starred Marc Maron (IFC’s Maron), Jake Johnson (New Girl), Derek Waters (Drunk History) and Vahina Giocante (99 Francs).
Pip Cree, Co-Producer
Pip Cree picked up a camera, begun taking bad photos of blurry flowers as a preteen and has never looked back. After receiving a BA Degree in Photography with honours from Falmouth University, during which she used her time to focus on human rights, social justice and the media, she moved to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. There, she worked with International Anti-Slavery NGOs and indigenous Cambodians in local communities; directing, shooting and editing film and photo as well teaching elements of film production to Cambodians. Back in the UK, she is currently collaborating with various local UK social enterprises and international aid relief charities, as well as spending a lot of time drinking coffee.

Pip's experiences have firmly taught her that people connect with each other emotionally through stories. Combined with a passion for ethical storytelling and a drive to see people bring their different skill sets to projects in order for them to flourish, she loves to collaborate with others to communicate personal stories through film and photo. Occasionally she'll still take photos of flowers, they are rarely blurry nowadays.
Vandy Piseth, 1st Assistant Director
Since his early days as an actor, Vandy jumped behind the camera to work as an Assistant Director. Vandy has been a 1st AD on countless productions in Cambodia and abroad. His most recent features include "Jailbreak," "Final Semester," screening at the Hong Kong International Film Festival next month, and "Vikaljarek," soon to be screened in several ASEAN countries. He also worked as an AD and casting manager on “Diamond Island,” directed by a French-Cambodian director which premiered at Cannes last year. He continues to act as well whenever he can.
Derek Abidin, Locations Manager & Prop Master
Derek has worked in production for almost 2 years. He began his work a Prop Master and now continues to take on work in both roles. Some of the projects Derek's worked on include Love to the Power of 4 and a couple projects for Hex, a team from Los Angeles. He also has done extensive commercial work with Studio 4 Productions. Derek has been a renaissance man on this short film, and we couldn't be more thankful.
Nhek Dollamy, Casting Director
Lamy has been working as a casting director for the past 10 years. His work ranges from commercials to short and feature length films in Cambodia.
