About the Film
When Sothea witnesses corruption at work, she has to decide morally and financially how to proceed. Will she be complicit or risk her job and security? This story leads us into one thread in the tapestry of modern-day Phnom Penh.
This film focuses on middle class life. Corruption affects everyone in Cambodia, and corruption’s theme in this story shows how it’s a vise, keeping this young woman where she is, with no chance to move up or out of the limitations set on her life.
